Meet Stephen Furlong, HHQ's New Loan Officer

Stephen, "just call me Steve," Furlong, recently joined Home HeadQuarters as a Mortgage Loan Officer. In his day-to-day responsibilities, Steve manages home improvement loan cases, assists with underwriting for closing cost assistance and first mortgage customers and provides loan expertise for any one of HHQ's lending programs. Steve joined the nonprofit from a local credit union where he was a member services advisor helping with new accounts. For Steve, the biggest difference in working for HHQ is the focus on the customer.

"The coolest thing is to see how much extra help and support we give the customer versus just focusing on the dollars."

When Steve isn't working hard at HHQ, the Syracuse native plays lots of softball and kickball. He, unfortunately, roots for the Green Bay Packers if his cubicle accessories are any sign, but co-workers say they like him anyway.
