Home HeadQuarters recently held its 2022 Annual Meeting at The Gear Factory. The organization’s board of directors approved standing and ad hoc committees, approved individual and corporate membership and elected directors and officers for its affiliates. HHQ welcomed three new directors to its board:

Michele Fernandez – For Private Sector Member

Michele Fernandez is Vice President, Enterprise Risk Manager & CRA Officer, for Solvay Bank. She is currently a member of HHQs’ Board Development Committee. Michele serves as Treasurer at Hope Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Syracuse and is a member of the Government Relations Committee with the Independent Community Bankers Association of New York State. Michele is a graduate of LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York and was previously recognized by Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Business as a “Forty Under 40” award recipient.

Julya Guins-Clark – For Resident Sector Member

Julya Guins-Clark is a long-time HHQ customer and an even longer-time advocate for the Syracuse community. Ms. Guins-Clark holds a dual degree from Syracuse University in Early Childhood & Family and Community Service and has worked as a teacher’s assistant, a classroom parents aid, a parent educator and a director of programming. She is a busy trustee for People’s AME Zion Church and has served on the YWCA Board of Directors and the Mayor’s Commission for Women.

Royce Woods – For Private Sector Member and Buffalo Representative

Royce Woods is the Chief Diversity, Inclusion and Community Development Officer for Evans Bank in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Woods and Evans Bank were part of the initial launch of HHQ’s Buffalo & Erie County lending programs. He currently serves on the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum and Literacy Buffalo Niagara Board of Directors. He is a recipient of the Buffalo Business First “40 under 40” award and the Mary B. Tolbert Community Service Award. Mr. Woods is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and holds a MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a BA in accounting and finance from Hampton University.
