Home HeadQuarters has also recently partnered with Syracuse University to offer the Home Ownership Grant Program for Syracuse University faculty and staff for grants of up to $2,000 in select areas of the City of Syracuse. Partners Trust Bank, in conjunction with Home HeadQuarters is also offering grants to first time homebuyers in the City of Syracuse of $2,500 in down payment and closing cost assistance. This grant can be used with Home HeadQuarters’ Down Payment and Closing Cost program and also buys down your mortgage interest to below market rate.

Some progressive, local employers have partnered with Home HeadQuarters, Inc. to offer Employer Assisted Housing to their employees in the form of Home Ownership Education, mortgage guarantees, discounted legal advice, down payment and closing cost assistance and other forms of financial support.

There are also many targeted neighborhood programs throughout the city for interested homebuyers including Purchase and Rehab Grants on the North Side through the Syracuse Neighborhood Initiative and university neighborhood grants through UNPA and Citizens Bank for new homeowners. Home HeadQuarters' housing counselors can help direct you to available programs and purchase incentives for your neighborhood of interest.
