Project: The Neighborhood Info Center @ 223 Marcellus
What it is:
Home HeadQuarters fully rehabbed this 1,785 square foot former formerly vacant Near Westside neighborhood property and is currently working with the U.S. Green Building Council to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification for the building. The property is a mixed-use development with a residential component, business incubator space and neighborhood meeting space.
What it Needs:
Hoping to further promote the benefits of green construction to neighborhood residents, students of all ages, developers, researchers and builders will be able to learn about the green building materials that were utilized in the construction of the Center, design features and associated energy savings by viewing actual materials, educational kiosks and interactive content via smart phones.
Cost:
Build an educational kiosk = $2,500.00
